HELP! I noticed something while starting my build. Tell me what you think
So I was taking apart my cylinder head and I noticed on a couple of the cam caps, there are some dings. These will probably be large enough dings to mess up my oil pressure, but im not sure. I will get pics as soon as I can for you guys to see.
My question is, if these are big enough to mess stuff up, how can I fix it? I was thinking maybe get a couple new caps, but then the alignment would be out of whack because of the different wear patterns. So then they would have to be align bored or honed. If they are bored or honed then this would increase the oil clearances.
Since the B18B doesnt use cam bearings I wouldnt be able to get undersize bearings to make up for the excessive oil clearance. So im stumped on what to do. Is this head trashed? If not what would it take to fix it or would I be better off buying another damn head.
Anyways Thx, let me know what you guys think.

since they're made out of aluminum, your best bet is to buy some new/used ones. the time and money if at all to fix will just be too much.
It doesnt look like the cam caused this ding it looks more like it was dropped or something
