Default Dowel Pins...

Well I took my head off last week and I look at it sitting on the grond and noticed a little dowel pin lying on the ground next to it and couldn't figure out where it fell from. Im pretty sure it goes on the head.... So heres a piture there are the two big ones on the bottom and then this little one I have no idea where it goes. So could someone point me in the right direction.

if you look at the cam journals where the caps go you will see a hole between 2 and 3 cylinders. their should be a rubber o ring with it stuck in the head.

and by the way, your a very lucky man. If you didnt notice that sitting on the floor and put it back together without that...no vtec and you would have had no idea why. Just make sure you do still have the o-ring there as well.

Hummm. I lost both of those pieces and then just put a rubber o-ring there to seal the hole and my VTEC still works....
