Default a couple of jrsc questions.

hey guys im new on this forum.
i had a couple of questions i hope you could help me with.
i have a b16a2 and am looking to supercharge it. my question is how safely do jrsc run 9lbs of boost? i would be getting it tuned with hondata. maybe a block guard but really not much engine building. im not looking for astronomical results. just a quick daily driver. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I could be wrong but Ive never heard of a JRSC making enough power to warrant a block gaurd. Many, many ppl run JRSC's on stock engines w/o problems. Upgrading your fuel system, bigger injectors, fuel pump, etc will be a good step. Going the Hondata route and having it professionaly tuned is the best way to make it safe and reliable.

if you're running 9psi with hondata AND it is tuned properly, you will have zero problems, assuming you're starting with a healthy motor. NO need for a blockguard.

also can you think think of any other drawbacks to a jrsc???
besides the fact that its more innefficient then a turbo, and you cant just up the boost.

I have been screwing with hondas for only two years, I bought a used JRSC for 1300.00, and it was the best money i have spent yet. I have read sooooo many post about this product, and in my opinon I would suggest it for any DOHC VTEC honda owner...Matt...PS turbo's are great too!!
