I was thinking I have about 800 bucks to do something with my car and I was thinking about having a full sliding ragtop installed to open the whole roof up. Has anyone ever had one of these? If you get them done at a reputable place can you expect it to function correctly all the time? Do you think it will look tacky? My other option is a targa top. Let me know your thoughts please. also are all sliding roofs the same or are there different styles that have a different look to them?

 

I would probably spend the $800 on something else... but if your REALLY wanted one that bad, I would say targa.

your honda wasnt made to be convertible, ragtop, or whatever for a reason. if you really want to do the ragtop, i suggest you invest in a roll cage.

 

both are pretty ugly things IMO.
why?
-the targa will look stupid considering your door has a frame.
-the sliding rag will look retarded, because it's not an old VW bus.

 

why don't you just cut your top off and weld the top half of a convertile bug on...that would look cool! Btw, you posted in the wrong section.

just to be helpful...for once on a topic like this...check out a civic hb on import tuner a while back. its blue with a ragtop. the car is actually owned by a guy i know. its not that bad looking, just not everybody's style i guess.

Your right duh... I didnt think about this. Hmmmm. I just want a huge glass roof like a JDM CRX. Seriously though I am just thinking outside the box to do something different. I dont want it to look ghetto or anything. And I dunno why people always have to make a joke outta things in here. I asked a question and I just wanted some opinions. Any other suggestions?
