i have SAFC controlling 450cc dsm injectors and a t25 turbo running at 5 psi, should i go with the walbro 255lph fuel pump for extra reliability/tuning
thanks in advance

exactly what he said, it wouldn't be bad for insurance but it isn't needed provided your stock pump is in good condition.

Yeah, at $80, it's cheap insurance. And yes, keep your pressure close to stock.

Stock fuel pump flows enough for 300 whp. I've been beating my HF pump at 5-9 psi for a couple years now. Just to be on the safe side, get one of those Aeromotive fuel pumps and redo your entire fuel system in -8 AN line, with a -6 AN return.

</sarcasm>

Keep the pump stock, and the safest thing you can do with the AFC hack is run the max capacity of your MAP sensor: dial the dizzy back 3 degrees and run 8-10 psi. Don't bother with an MSD BTM as it does nothing to address the way your ignition timing is recurved by the AFC's manipulation of MAP sensor voltage. You'll get ten times the engine life out of running more boost with the AFC hack, than running a fuel pump you don't need.
