money reasons maybe....darnit who's utilizing thier stock fuel pump and running the afc or smc? please reply i dun wanna spend anymore money...unless i have to

well, since you speak of the SMC, your setup will most definitely need 440/450s, which will cost you maybe $125 if you go the DSM route with a nice cleaning and what not. just spend another $100 for a cheap Walbro or wait until you can afford everything you need.

Well I've heard that you don't need to becasue you are not increasing the fuel pressure. SMC faq says you don't need it slso. I read a post about somebody with an HF CRX who ran fine on the stock fuel pump. I have a bosch fuel pump, but I don't want to drop my tank (EF) or put it inline becasue of the annoying hum.
If it is questionable I'll put the fuel pump in. If its a definite you don't need one, I might just make do with the stock pump.
I have EVERYTHING I need. DSM injectors, VAFC is hooked up, manifold turbo, Motor is freshly built etc etc. I just need to the the piping welded up.

spend all that money on other stuff and then it all goes to **** becuase you didn't drop an extra $100 and play it safe

I use the stock fuel pump and I haven't had any problems with (as of yet) running 10 psi on a zc . i do have a 255 walboro that i haven't put in yet, i think i'm gonna put it in to be safe though . like the guy said its only about $100.00 and that's cheap for peice of mind!

Stock fuel pump is fine with 440/450s.
As long as your running stock fuel pressure, which with the smc/afc route you would be. Stock pump = fine.
