I had the same problem, so I took off all the panels in the back and disconnected the antenna.

well, unless you listen to the radio a lot.

unfortunatley that is mostly what i listen to. Does anybody have any suggestions as to what that sound it?

 

Hahaha that was a funny *** sound. Sounds like it jammed . I think you should pull the antenna, (its pretty damn easy) and experiment with the extending and retracting with it out of the car.

 

what would b jammed the antenna goes all the way up though thats y im lost as to what the hell this is

 

just try to go to a junk yard. it wouldn't be too expensive and you can have your problem solved.

 

The cord that pulls the antenna up n down might be broken inside the antenna, happen to me in the summer soo i just disconnected it. tha R looks ugly with the damn antenna up all the time while driving.

 

I suggest taking off the rear panel and have a better look at it.

 

You can always get an S2k antenna.

 

ehh i said screw it and unplugged the antenna motor, reception isnt to bad just a little static but i can live with that. if it gets real bad ill just use my cd player all the time just so i dont have to get a new motor assembly.

Just stick in a CD and use the shuffle mode....to kinda keep things suprising? lol
