Distrubtor controls fuel too?
one of my friend's was talking about how some sensor in the dist. will tell the ecm not to send fuel or start if it's bad... does this make sense- I'm thinking not, but I'm having a hard time getting some wiring done and want to try to get any and everything taken care of.
the ignitor controls injector firing, so if the ignitor is bad, then injector might not be firing thus giving no fuel.
do you hear the fuel pump primming?do you have fuel pressure?

check to see if you have spark, if you don't have spark or fuel, then you probably have a bad main relay. If you have spark, check the fuel fuse, and still check the main relay to be safe, you may have a bad pump. Worst cause is probably a bad ecu, I have heard of ecu's dying which didn't send fuel or spark to the motor.

But if that were the only problem, the pump WOULD prime. Maybe you've got more than one thing wrong?
that could be possible, but chasing it down is getting tougher as things are elminated- is it possible that not all the grounds connected would cause this?

wrong! care to try and explain again?
If you really believe this statement, dude you need major help.
I guess if the ignitor controls fuel. then the plugs fires the same time with the fuel.
fuel ignito? or spark ignitor?

Let me rephrase, ignitor does not "control" injector firing, but it kinda links the ecu so it knows when. so a bad ignitor might make injector not fire...

some times I'm the biggest ******* that I know; I'm glad that you took it well.
the ecu uses inputs from the crank angle sensor, cam sensor, and tdc sensor. these input are used to determine injector on time and injector duration.

does the check engine light turn of after 3 sec? If not check for code. if unable to display code. Check the map sensors referrence voltage and TP - voltage should be 4.8 - 5.0. if not, check all of the power input to the ecu and ground circuit from the he ecu. if it's all good, you will need a ecu replacemen.

Hmm, sounds like a bad power lead to the ECM or a bad ground at the thermostat housing. Did you check the ground at the thermostat housing?
no they do not-
guessing that you mean the abs/cel/seatbelt/ lights
also will note that the ig. switch shows power in acc. and on as well
