ITB's and IACV question.
First off, yes I searched.
Next, here's my question: If I set the TPS to the "close to stock" settings that people are doing with the GSXR 1000 throttle bodies with the idle set low (like 700 rpms) and then manually adjust the idle so that the TPS registers an idle as not idling but with a low throttle reading (like 5% or something), then can I get away without running an IACV and still have smooth motor operation when I let the car "idle" (which the ECU is reading as slight throttle input)?

Buy telling the ecu your at 5% throttle you will be telling it to add more fuel not air like the IAC. Your better off putting a throttle stop in to keep the butterflies open. I'm not suggesting this would be a good thing , but it will work for what your actualy trying to acheive by moving the tps. You need the air to go with the fuel.
Not if the tps is open with it. The tps and map sensor will adjust the timming and the fuel. If you zero the tps at closed(like factory) and just use a throttle stop to crack the throttle slightly it will run at that rpm normally. if you try to trick it your either going to have not enough vaccum or to much fuel.
