NOOOOOO, say it ain't so!!!

Time to start breaking out the VCR big-time. In a couple of years, we can trade "old" tapes of SVWC races, watch them, and cry into our beers.

Well at least I don't need to worry about paying $80/mo. and getting 10 channels I don't watch so I can have Speedvision.

That sucks. I just don't understand the appeal of racing around in a toilet bowl.

It's actually entertaining for 1-2 races, but for 30-40 races a year???

RIP Speedvision.

Heh, maybe w/o beloved Speedvision, I'll actually start getting homework done.... Nah...

Question of the night: What happens to World Challenge w/ a NASCAR centered Speedvision?

Its gonna include RWD Ford Tauruses, Dodge Intrepids, Pontiac Grand Prixs, and Chevy Montecarlos with 358ci motors and some major bitching about downforce...

I think this article is more about postering than reality. The article was written in a southern paper which caters to the NASCAR crowd. So, in order to drum up business they are saying it will be the NASCAR channel. But, in reality, the other programming will continue. The GT/Touring car races are about once a month, so they should continue. WRC is only shown once a week now anyway, so that is no big deal. Think about, right now, Speedvision is mostly Motorcycle racing and Boat racing and other car type shows (Motorweek, Autoweek, Classic Car Garage, etc. etc.) I believe we have nothing to worry about. BUT, if it goes all NASCAR, I will sell my DISH Network and go back to cable !!

I sure hope you are right. No doubt they will make a ton of money with NASCAR, so if they do switch they won't have any incentive to switch back to what they have now.

I do agree they could lose all that other crap (Crank and Chrome being among the most annoying).

During the last endurance race Bob Varsha specifically addressed the worried crowd and said something to the effect of "Don't worry. We will continue to have all the endurance racing, F1, touring car and other series you are used to."

I sure hope he was right. I won't really mind more NASCAR as long as they don't get rid of all the other stuff.
