Default itr in 88 hf

this maybe a newbie question but ive searched and cant find it out maybe i didnt search hard enough.. a simple yes or no will do..Which tranny should i use with a obd2 block in a 88 hf crx .. I know what fits in there is a cable and a hydro can be made to work (with appropriate mounts, and im sure other things as well). basically can an obd1 tranny work with a obd2 motor

all b series stuff will mate up...you could take a 1st gen b16 block and mate it to a cable or hydro ls or gsr or itr tranny or vice versa. Being that you have a cable-clutch chassis I would look for a cable b16 tranny with a lsd already installed (I recommend a quaife )
