Default LS VTEC NEED INPUT

i just picked up a 96 ls motor for $300 i wanna rip it apart and build ls vtec and maybe turbo it for first what crank and rods bearings pistons etc.. should i get to run a 11.5 to 12.5 CR , i have a type r head for it and i will be ordering the ls vtec kit , can u techs recomend what i should do , it will be in a 93 hatch , put it this way i wanna run 12.50's-13.0's with street tires please recomend suming thanx guys

you can run 12.5-13:1 cr IF you have a good tuner on pump gas, 92+ octane. but you first need to make up your mind if you want to go forced or all motor as far as your compression is concerned. use your ls crank, and oem honda bearings are the way to go.

should i get the crank knife edged or polished and what pistons should i use , im positive i wanna go turbo ,recomend a the bottom end to be set for @10psi what compression, and should i get the block decked or machine or honed

knife edging and polishing the crank is not necessary. however, you should get the block checked for roundness and then have it either bored or honed.
