Basic B18C piston install questions...
I have a mint low low milage 1998 JDM ITR B18C.
I was planning on running stock pistons this year, but with my Toda B camshafts i feel that higher compression would serve me well.
If i wanted to install some pistons, could i reuse the bearings that i take out of my engine? remember it is very low milage and super clean.
So i would remove the mains, remove the crank, rods, have the new pistons pressed.
Then to install, if i remembered where all the bearings were, and i returned them to their original location, would i risk engine failure?
Would the engine suffer from loss of balance? B18CRs are very well balanced from the factory. which was a big reason that i didnt want to tamper with the bottom end.
thanks!

Never reuse bearings that is a big no no .... I did that a long time a go on my gs-r motor and spun a bearing 2 months later and had to purchace a new 850.00 crank from acura don't do it .......
you can of course reuse the old bearings if they show NO signs of wear. which is not likely.
you need new pistons, rings and really you should use new ROD-bearings, theyre only like $40 a set from camp1320.com
