well man all motor madness is great but if you do it right your max speed will probably be around 115-125 if you are loooking for good reliable low end torque and a steady hp curve try the turbo kit by greddy if youhave an ls. if you are doing a gsr up then scratch the turbo for the Jackson Racing Supercharger Kit it spools up a lot quicker than a turbo and will work with the high compression engine with very little tuning. but remeber if you are going boost you have to realize the limitations of the engine and reliability as well so overbuilding the engine in certain areas is a very good idea and your best preventative maintenance is your basic maintenance just at heightened intervals

good luck, but the question you asked is very vague. if you know what direction you want to go wether it is all motor or boosted that will help us lay out a good plan for you to actually get started on.

What exactly are these "pussies" driving taht they shouldn't be beating you? How are you launching? what kind of tires are you running? How are they beating you, just off the line? in third? Like Aaron said, your question is very vague. Figure out these questions before you spend a ton of cash, and you might put your money to better use.

Alright. First off, experiment with different launching techniques, I have found it better to launch at higher rpm's and feather the throttle to maintain traction initially after launching. Second, how short are the races, 1/8th mile, 1/4 mile? Third, the Kumho 711's suck as a drag racing tire, you can find a lot more traction elsewhere. Finally, turbo isn't out of the question on a GSR, I've seen stock engine GSR's lay down over 300 whp. It's only out of the question if you don't want to pay for it (and even so, a good custom kit can be assembled for less than 2 grand). What kind of suspension are you using? Have you considered upgrading it to improve traction off the line?
