Default sparkplugs

what would be the best spark plugs to use for an h22?
and would any one know if a f trans would bolt up to my motor? I bought a trans. and while talking to the guy I gave him the serial number off the current trans. and he said it was for a non vtec f motor. So if it is true I need to go kick the guys *** that put it in

so the tranny is already in the car bolted to the engine? i think you answered your own question. Spark plugs are spark plugs, they all do the same thing, make a spark.....do a lil bit of searching next time mmk? I used NGK from Auto zone...and Bosch platnium +4's when I had extra money to blow. No if you were running Hi HP applications then spark and timing would be a big ordeal. Any plug will do the same, and you may get like .00000000000001 HP from changing from a NGK to a Bosch Platnium +4 plug. A full tune up, then maybe getting back some lost ponies, but just doing spark plugs, if you do it at a normal interval you wont notice ****

Spark plugs are not spark plugs... especially when running a turbocharged motor. If it's a plain jane motor, then simply run a 6 series NGK plug. I think honda recommends a zrf6 or something of that sort for the stock h22.

I use NGK ZFR7F or BKR7E's on my J-spec NA motor... for US spec NA motors you can use ZFR6F.

If you are stock, then all plugs are the same. If you are running MSD or anything that would require better than stock wires (magnecor etc..), then you may want to consider getting platinum.

I still think that if you are running stock it is better to use the factory NGK coppers and check them frequently. Much cheaper and nothing better than new plugs.

If you go platinum, don't gap them or you might mess up the platinum coat.

All F and H trannies are compatible... all but the SH which needs some work (ATTS). There are a bunch of write-ups in the archives about that.

platinum spark plugs just last longer then copper, IIRC. i use copper, i would rather change them frequently at a cheaper price.

NGK V-power(copper) - good plug for stock to lightly modded hondas. Improves quenching and ignitability.

NGK G-Power(single platinum)- performance and durability of platinum at a competitive price. Better starts, acceleration, and fuel economy.

Double Platinum(oem in prelude vtec)- Extreme long life plug. reduces the voltage necessary to start the combustion process, provides better throttle response, improved efficiency and allows for a smoother idle.

most plugs with 4 pins loose power, best plugs are the NGK or BKR stocks,u can chnange the tempreture by choosing 6 than 7,but this even gives a power loss...
there are two or 3 sparks from jdm,ACM?,that make a bigger spark, but also can harm your engine, cause of the pistons not designed for higher sparks....u can burn a hole in them when using such a long time,
ive seen plugs without pins, this seems to be intresting ,nothing else like copper or platinum is interesting for more power.
its easier to loose power with the wrong plugs than force it with better ones!
