changing lower control arm bushings tommorow
tommorow when the parts are here im changing my lower control arm bushings on the front passenger side. it looks pretty simple to me. there are about 4 bolts that i need to undo and the bushings should just slide in. is there anything i need to pay special attention to?

hahha, good luck those are a biatch, had my whole car done, what a nightmare, you are going to need a press or a air chisle(man does my spelling suck) to get it out. Good luck
o, i didnt know that. cant i just hit it hard with a hammer to get it out and then i guess ill have to get a shop to do the pressing.
thanks guys, i guess my car will be out of commission for a few days

I torched mine out but there is still an outer collar that needs to be pressed out.

THE WORST JOB IN THE WORLD. SO FAR IT HAS TAKEN ME 5 HOURS. I DIDNT REALLY KNOW WHAT I WAS DOING SO I WENT AND BOUGHT A HAYNES REPAIR GUIDE. GOT THE ARM OFF NOW AND THE NEW BUSHINGS IN AT ACURA IN TOWN AND NOW I STRIPPED THE THREADS THE GO INTO THE FRAME OF THE CAR. IM GOING TO TRY AND TAP IT OUT TOMMOROW AFTERNOON. THINK THAT WILL BE SAFE ENOUGH THOUGH I MEAN IF THE BOLT COMES LOOSE THERE GOES MY FRONT WHEEL????
I found using a press to be the most inefficient way to remove the LCA bushings. An air hammer with a chisel bit and a good bench vise is the easiest way; takes about 10 seconds per bushing...

I'm also curious... was it worth the time? did it make a big difference?

ok so now i totally have the small project done. it did make a big difference in handling because my bushings on the front right side were totally worn out. i had been driving with the bushing worn out for about 4 months cause i was to lazy to take it all apart. so now i have another suspension problem. there is a small ball joint holding the upper and lower control arms together. that is shot cause i let the bushings wear out to much. also now the side that i changed the bushings on sits about 2 inches higher that the other side and my steering veers to the left now cause my right side is higher. any ideas as to why this is happening?
also, the only reason i changed them is becuase i was hearing this loud knocking sound and was getting huge body roll when i would go around corners. so if you dont have any of that there is no point changing the bushings for those of you who didnt know that.
