Default little grind in 3rd on a Del sol b16a3. Got a question

ok i just had my tranny imput shaft bearing and cluster bearing replaced no more then 2,000 miles ago. Now heres the thing, when im driving just regular and shift nothing is wrong. But when i step on it and go from 2nd to third it makes a slight grinding sound but still goes in. I dont have this problem in any other gear. Now ive searched and alot saying Syncro's and tell them to use that gm mech stuff. I just wanted to know maybe if its grinding because it just got fixed or if they just repaired it wrong and need to have them look at the internals again. I just have a feeling that if i go in they will just drain the tranny and put the syncomesh and just tell me they fixed it. Any input would help, going to go to the shop tomorrow but just buggin me right now.

it is the synchros. Don't try to think it is anything else, trust me, I know.

It is from driver error, not that they fixed something wrong.

Use the GM stuff, It didn't help for me though, my 3rd still grinds.

Most likely it will still grind. It will eventually get worse, ride it out until it doesn't work anymore and then buy used tranny. Fixing it will cost even more unless you know how to fix it yourself, which involves the use of hydraulic presses.

Did you let the tranny break in before you started stompin on the accelerater pedal? Your supposed to use only Honda's tranny fluid for their trannies becuase the gears are designed differently from other manufacters.

yeah i let it break in. I also asked the tranny place if i needed to drive for for so many miles without hammering on it and they said it would be fine. I noticed the grind whenever i would hit vtec (above 5,500). Didnt matter whether i was full stepping on it or just reving a little high. Well see what happens because i pick the car back up on friday
