Gas guage not working?
Here is the problem and has any had this problem? I did a motor swap a while back, b16a2 into a eg hatch. Does anyone know why the gas guage wouldn't be working? The gauge cluster is from a 99 civic si and it's in 96 ek hatch.

Chances are your Sending Unit has a poor Ground connection or your Level Sensing Sensor is sticking on a tank rib..
But you'll have to be more precise on your problem.. What isn't the gauge doing?.. Not reading full? Not reading at all?..

i broke my gas and temp guages before by not screwing in all the screws in the back of the cluster (i have a 95 DX with an EX cluster....I tried taking the cruise control screws out and that must have shorted the rest of them). See if you can find another guage and put that in to see if it is in fact your guage and not something else.
The gas gauge is always on full. I don't think it could be the ground wire because I never even messed with the fuel pump. This isn't the first car that I've seen the gas gauge not working after a swap. You have to remember this is a 99 Si engine in a 96 hatch. The main wiring harness is different, I ended up using the stock wiring harness.
