I just came back from Merchants and they disconnected my battery which deleted my headunit code. I popped open the panel by the glove compartment and looked at the side of the headunit and got a bunch of numbers but they are wrong. Where is the serial number located at on the headunit?

it will be on the back if i remember correctly

 

I tried to take out headunit and with no luck. It's for a 2000 si, if any1 has step by step instructions would gladly appreciate it.

you're trying to take out the si headunit to look for the serial on the back?

1. take off panel where the cig. lighter is atached to

but in order to do that, you have to take off the panel right under the steering column, and lower the glovebox so you can get to the screws for that panel. after that, you can reach to the back of the radio, don't know if it's bolted in though, just look under there... hoped that helped some.

 

Much easier to put an aftermarket headunit in at this point .
