Default Stereo Code Help

My 2000 civic's car battery died lately, after replacing it with a new battery. The stereo si asking for a code which I don't have. I bought my civic used from a car dealer 2 yrs ago and they didn't provide me neither the code nor the serial number of the stereo. Is there any other way to retrive the code or the serial number? Thanks so much!

Komakazi_830,

How to pull the stereo? there's a small storage tray underneath the stereo. I tried to pry it open but no luck so far. Is there any step by step stereo removal instructions online?

Thanks!

Some dealerships charge money, others dont. Mine was going to, so for like $2 I bought the code off ebay. Hope you can get it for free
