Default Cleaning head

Would it be safe to use Simple Green to clean a head without taking off the valvetrain? I don't want to remove valve springs, valves and all to clean it. Can I hit it with Simple Green and water it down then air dry it?

Or do I really need to remove the valvetrain?

I dont recommend it. If you do, take a hair dryer and make sure it is DRY. Ive cleaned several heads and the valvesprings, seats, and any other none Al parts will rust within minutes if you dont dry them off.
