Default lower tie bars....

I have sway bars installed on my ek. The suspension techniques ones.

Do lower tie bars help? I'm not even sure where the front one goes. The rear one I know.

From what i heard the only lower tie bar that works is the front. The rear one is just for show.

You install the front ones to your lower control arms. Pretty easy, just like the back.

Lower tie bars make more of a difference than the uppers, mostly because the lowers are usually mounted closer to a point that takes load compared to the uppers which are usually bolted to the strut towers.

The front lowers that I have seen all bolt to the back of the LCAs, where that huge round bushing is. The rear lower should share the bolt where the rear LCA is bolted to the subframe or somewhere very close to that point.

They make a small difference compared to the swaybars, but enough that you'll feel the difference especially if they're one of the last mods you do to your fully built suspension.

think about it like this... then why does the itr/ctr both come with a rear lower tie bar and no front lower tie bar?

the struts are load bearing members in a civic/tegs suspension. So the uppers which attach at the struts or strut towers actually do more weight than the lowers. A good upper bar will do more than a lower tie bar.

Not trying to be an @ss, but if you are not sure what they are helping, then best that you put your money towards something else. You should always understand your mods before spending your hard earned money.

My point is that you should not be asking "will this help?" Help what? What problem are you trying to solve? If you tell us what problem you have, then we can help. If you just buy parts just because someone said that they will help then you will find yourself broke in no time and your car will have a bunch of useless parts on it.

ok well I asked my question. And pretty much figured out that I won't buy the front one now. And that they don't help all that much anyways. Sway bars help more, and I have those done already so I'm set.

Thanks everybody for the help!
