LS Vtec Question
My brother bout a b16 and the bottom end was fucked up. SO someone is installing a LS vtec . When doin so he said he was goin to put b16 internals and ****. Is this what you do? Also he is changin something else that said that wont break the engine when reved to high rpms. Is this how you do LS VTEC? :
i dunno about the internals but it sounds about righ ti know that what he is probably doing is sleeving the cylinder walls and/or upgrading the crank. ie; gsr crank
I think the guy is talking about B16 pistons. This will give your brother some higher compression, and more power with the B16 head. Hopefully he's changing the rod bolts as well, as they tend to stretch and become brittle with higher revs.
referring to the part that might "make it stronger at higher revs", he might be talking about a girdle, which came on the b18c's and probably the b16, but not the LS motor.
hey man if your gonna do lsvtec you should reasearch it i just did one last weekend and theres alot involved
if your interested i have arp rod bolts for lsvtec
if your interested i have arp rod bolts for lsvtec
true that, i've been piecing mine together for about 2 months now. do as many searches as you can and read about what those experienced with the build have to say about what precautions to take and such. you'll be very happy if you do it the right way
