Default WOULD A B16 HEAD/GSR BLOCK BE GOOD FOR TURBO ?????

using the gsr pistons would be lower comp. right ? i just blew my rings on my b16 block. and would it be a good idea to re-use pistons ?? i'm on a 500 dollar budget so forged parts wouldn't be an option... thanks in advance .

Well if boosting is the only option then why not!

i think its a good idea! most people put b16 heads on b18 blocks for more power. i dunno how, but i hear...do some research on it.

I'm currently putting my B16a head on a my fully built GSR block. Bascially- it's a Type R setup- GSR and ITR block is the same cast- different pistons, of course. And the ITR head is just a p/p PR3/B16A, minus the cams and valvetrain. Like you said if you're using the GSR piston- you will decrease your C/R about .2

I'm thinking it's not a good idea to do anything on your weak budget, but if it's the only way, go for it. No one can tell you if it will work or not, you'll just have to find out.

As for the b16 head and GSR block, you'll have what's commonly referred to as the poor man's ITR.
Good setup.

and good luck.
I'm having great luck with my spare parts build, b16 block/GSR head supercharged. It was hell to get it running right, but man, does it fly!
