GReddy kit: is it new or old? (searched)
I just received a GReddy turbo kit for my '98 Integra GS-R (the one that uses the TD05H-18G), and I'm not sure if it is the newer kit with e-manage or the older one with the 'blue box' FCU. I e-mailed the store before I bought it and they said it was the newer one, but now that I have it, I'm not sure if they were right..
The reason I'm asking is because the FCU looks a lot like just a 'blue box', and nothing like the picture on GReddy's website (http://www.greddy.com/products...=1306). I'm not sure if it is just GReddy making it look all sexy for the picture, or if I have the older version. Also the manual doesn't mention anything about e-manage (it just calls it a 'Fuel Control Unit'). Is there any way to tell if what I have is the older kit or the newer one with e-manage?
(The battery on my digital camera just died so I'll have some pictures up in about 20 minutes.)
Thanks.

Ok heres the pics of the FCU (still in the plastic wrapper in case I have to return it):

that sticker that you can't really read says "USDC2-F40T05" which I assumed is the label for the programming (US - for US-spec smog, DC2 - for Integra...)
and the other side:

(that dot thing on the bottom right is an LED)
Anyone know if this is the dreaded 'blue box' or is it e-manage without the flashy label? Also if it is the blue box, do you think it's worth returning? (I don't expect to have enough money for Hondata or anything for a while..)

lemme guess you turned ur mbc up to like 10psi on a stock block and expected the blue box to compensate? the blue box is just fine for the 5 or so Psi that is intended for.

i have had nothing but good things to say about the blue box. i have used the blue box in many different temperatures, and different elevations and the car ran good the whole time. could i have made more power, probably....but it did the job and for $70 i dont think you can beat it for lower boost applications

Just because I'm a dumb *** doesn't mean that I caused the engine failure. Does it? Actually the Blue box was alright. My motor was already fried from bad nitrous management.</TD></TR></TABLE>
so how exactly did the blue box cause engine failure? not great by any means but a safer alternative to well...using nothing.
