from what I noticed the B18b rods looked a little stronger and beefier

Would it be possible to use the B18C rod instead of B18A/B? Isn't the rod for GSR stronger so the motor can rev higher??

And what does the Z10 girdle do? I heard it will allow the non-vtec bottom end to reach higher rev safely. What's the deal behind this??

Yeah I guess it is. It cost me a ton of cash also. I figured if I am going to build my hybrid I might as well do it the way I want it and to also do it right. Ericks racing and Port Flow are the ****, I would recommend them for all Honda and Acura work. I am gonna get the motor dyno'd in about a month I will post the scans of my sheets, I am hopeing to break 200 to the wheels.

Which is the B18A engine? B18B/A is the LS and B18C1 is the GSR right?

LS rods suck... they're weak as **** and the weakest link in any LS/vtec...

GSR rods are much stronger, but due to the fact they yield a higher rod/stroke.. you lose displacement, and defeat the purpose of ls/vtec (ls block is same as gsr)

What are you reving too. 14.1 with slicks seems a little slow. I have a similiar setup and I'm hoping to run high 12's with slicks. Initially with a 8k redline I'm hoping for 210's whp. After the ecu change I will be redlining at 9200+ at hopefully 220-230 range. What is the elevation at Pomona I never had a chance to go there when I was in Cali.

Pomona is about at 600 feet and is a very nice track. It is the best track in So. Cal as far as I am concerned. Beats LACR and Carlsbad hands down.
