I am in the process of making some homemade ITBs consisting of a B16 mani and CBR 929's TB's. Now, I have checked all the previous posts, pictures, etc. and they have helped tremendously. So,
to you guys. But I cannot find anything re: the throttle cable and linkage.
The throttle plates on the 929 go from fully closed to fully open with only 1/4 turn of the spirng-loaded spool.
Does this present a problem when installed on the car??
What throttle cable did you guys wind up using??
This will go in a 99 Si w/ JDM ITR motor.

this is a problem i'm going to be tackling in the next week with my setup.....one of the last things waiting to be done actually. i'd like to know some pointers also.....bump
with most of these HOMEMADE ITB's, not to rain on anybody's parade, but most of the H-T members are making them with very small ITB's that will not really produce much HP. Just to let you guys think it over when you pick out your motorcycle ITB's. Good luck

Well the whole point was NOT to spend large amounts of money, and to be a little creative. I found a set of 40mm CBR 929's for very cheap, so I got them. Plus, due to them being from Honda, every sensor plugs right in. And while each one is only 40mm, together they = 160mm of incoming air.
Now, back to the qestion....Anyone have some insight???

you should've got the CBR 954's. im going to also check out the new CBR 600RR TB's and see how big those are. use a DX throttle cable.
Hmmm, the way to reduce/modify the amount of throttle linkage used up per revolution of throttle plate is to size the throttle rotor correctly.
Possibly you can mate the Civic/Integra throttle rotor onto the ITB plate?

Possibly.... I'll have to get a throttle rotor and take a look.
Owen, I thought you were running ITB's? If homemade, what did you do??

no you don't need to swap the rotor. bending of the cable bracket is all that is needed. at the most fabricate a new bracket.
contact me and i'll show you an image with CBR ITBs on a d-series with a modified bracket. i need to contact the owner of the engine for permission
