How to replace an axle?
Thanks in advance for everyone's help. I've done a search and came up with nothing.
Anyways, I know alot of you guys have replaced broken or even snapped axles. The driver side axle CV boot is farked on my 92 RS so I'm just going to replace the whole thing.
My question is, does the axle just pull out of the transmission with no special tools?
I think I've figured out how to disassemble the axle from the hub, but is there anything else I should remember when doing this?
Later,
Eric

just pull it out, from the boot though not from the bar, pull with all ur might! dont forget to grease the new one before u stick it back in, and make sure it goes all the way in! or else the teeth will grind when u try to drive it

i emailed you before.. but the email wasnt correct.
hows your DA?
hey man, if you never changed your axle, take it to someone who did.
you can screw it up tho, unless you dont care for the axel that you are taking out.
i need to change my passenger side axel. it starts clicking.
if its your passengers side one, make sure that no oil comes out of your tranny, but if it does, top up the tranny aftewards.
