H&R extended wheel studs - Yay or Nay?
If it's not one thing, it's another.
Besides the little clutch/flywheel/transmission problem which surfaced in VIR, it seems that my wheel bearings are going south. Since I've opted to replace them now instead of later, it gives me an opportunity to put in extended wheel studs. It's a good idea since I am running a 5mm spacer up front and I'm at the safe limit right now in the amount of turns on the lug nut.
Now, I have a set of extended lugs that came with the H&R spacer kit. Should I just go ahead and use those or order up ARP/TL extended studs? I'm leaning towards the H&R/TL studs because I'm "assuming" that I won't need to get open ended lug nuts (yet). The ARPs seem quite long and might require the open ended lug nuts.
Anyone have experience with H&R wheel studs? Good? Bad?

Doh. Thanks for the link.
I tried "stud(s)" and "extended studs" but didn't try wheel studs.
I'll need to double check when I get home tonight but IIRC, the ones I received looked a lot like the OE knurl than the ones pictured in that thread. If not, I'll have Yack order the OE/TL ones. Thanks.

Yeah. It looks like the ends are tapered but I'm curious if ... waitaminute. Lemme PM Willard. He has ARP studs. I can ask him to put on my spacers and wheels on his car to see if my current lug nuts fit the ARP studs. Bingo.
But I still might try out the H&Rs. Need to stop the hemorrhaging a bit by using what I have instead of ordering more parts.
