Default Chalk up one more Drag manifold :(

Well damn... my luck has been getting worse and worse... here's my list of **** I have to work on soon...

1. Throwout bearing
2. A/C line leak

and now lets add ....

3. Drag manifold.

I'm not sure how large the crack is, but lets say this... I can't see it from the top (don't have a jack / stands yet... purchase this week). However, when I start the car up and look at the engine bay.. from the front you can see some exhaust working it's nasty self out of the front by the radiator fans. NOW if I can see it physically, it's got to be a big hole.. either that or I have a very large hole int he exhaust houseing.. which I doubt...

How frustrating!!!

I scrape the exhaust coming in the driveway (half way back the car), but that's it..

Can that put enough pressure on it to crack it?

Well it can.. but do you have a flex section after the downpipe? Most people that Don't have a flex pipe after the DP crack their manifolds.. no matter what company the manifold is from. Maybe Ben can help you out with another manifold?

Sorry to hear that Jake. So are you planning to go with another DRAG manifold? or do you have another one in mind?

I don't have a flex pipe.. i just have a straight piece of pipe welded in place.. guess I need to cut that bad boy and put the flex pipe on..

I don't know what manifold to go with...

anyone have any ideas who / what manifold is the best? If I have to get another one.. I might as well get a good one...

If you change manifolds you have to change downpipes. All manifolds position the turbo differently.
