Default Chipped ECU + Msd 3bAr?

I would like to know if it's possible to use an Msd 3 bar Map with a chipped p-28.
Would like to bypass the missing link and I had heard somewhere
That I could use an MSD map sensor.
Does this have any truth to it?
TIA

the only reason to use a 3 bar map is cause it can read beyond 10psi which the stock map sensor cant. plus u will need some kind of engine management if u want to get away from the missing link.
