I'm looking for a place to buy the GM 3 bar map sensor at a resonable price. Also, what exactly is invloved in installing it? I assume it has the same number of wires as the old sensor, and they just need to be soldered together?

just about everybody and their grandmother sells MSD. Might be able to find a dealer listing through http://www.msdignition.com

 

I got mine at the GM dealer. It was a little more expensive but they are hard to locate someone who has one in stock. I tried Summit and MSD direct. Summit told me it would take 3-4 weeks because it was a special order and MSD was over 100 bucks. I ened up going to the GM dealer and getting a map for an 89 Trans Am turbo. Retail is around 90 bucks. In the end its not too bad being that you dont have to pay shipping and you can have it in a day or two.
