My R is running too rich I think?? Will tuning it with a VAFC make it go away?
Like it says.....I am not driving it too much right now but will get it tuned next week hopefully.
Lucky for you a VAFC will only let you lean the mix, so yes it will definitely help

You can lean it our and equally you can also richen it. From the graphs it still looks a bit on the rich side above 7krpms.

Your very right....i have personally never used one but had been told time and time again that you could only lean your mix and not richen it!!! Good to know

VAFC's will let you richen a mixture slightly, but not a whole lot. It is better to raise the fuel pressure to increase the a/f mixture if you are only tuning with a VAFC and then subtract the fuel from the settings. I am guessing that you can only "trick" the map sensor so much before you can't add any more fuel through a VAFC.
