The motor is a b16a1, at idle when the car is warmed up, it makes a squelling sound. At first i thought it was the alternator but the sound isnt coming from there. More of the bottom of the block. I have a moive but its avi. and i dont know how to host it. If anyone knows how to host let me know.

not the alternater but maybe the alternater or power stearing (if you have it) belts

So it happens non stop whether your moving or not? ANy other conditions under which it happens?

 

more of when im stopped at idle. as soon as u rev its gone. sometimes it affects the idle speed it drops down very low and then goes up but never stalls.

That screeching sound its probally metal touching metal, try using a better oil(syntec oil). If that does not work try adjusting your valves, its probally to tight, need to loosen the valve to cam gap!

 

FELLAS, CALM DOWN! U cant just diagnose something without even hearing or seeing it. No, he doesnt need a rebuild, no he doesnt need a valve adjustment, EVERYBODY CALM DOWN and WAIT till he gets the video posted.

Common problem would be the belts. Could be too tight, too loose, or just glazed and makin some noice. Try putting some Accesory belt conditioner spray on the belts and see if that does anything.
