Default Will this throw the crank balance off??

I have a h22 longblock, and there is a little stud that comes out the of the crank to hold the flywheel on the crank. I was wondering if I cut that off would it throw the balance off of the crank?

Let me know. Here is some pics of what I am taking about. Thanks Guys.

i hate H-series blocks and i know that is needed on there. You need it for timing marks.

That stud is what locates your flywheel. Your flywheel can only go on 1 way and assures that the timing marks will be ok. DON'T CUT THAT!

Im making a adatper plater for a B series tranny to go on a H series block, the H series flywheel is too big in diameter, the H series is 12 inch in diameter and a B series is 11 1/2 in diameter. I have to use all B series parts so it will work. That is why I was asking if I could cut it off, so I could put my B series flywheel on.

Might be better off drilling a hole in my flywheel instead of cutting that pin off.

im thinking that that drilling out a hole that small in the flywheel wont hurt it too bad being that close to the crank centerline, should really only come into play when you get rediculously high revs.
