I'm trying to find out. Describe what it is, where it is and what it does.

it is a bushing...it is inside the transmission, it holds the axle from moving around while it is turning...mine seems to be broken because the axle makes a sound when I do certain things...trust me, i've replaced all other parts, so this has to be it.... THANKS
if it is inside the transmission i hope you are up to rebuilding the tranny. the axles slide into the tranny and into the differential, which is made up of shimes, a taper bearing, and the differential case....
