i have a z6 mini me engine and i am still running the stock 1990 CRX Si ECU i want to hook up my Apexi VAFC controller but what do i do about the vtec input and vtec output wires????i know that they should probably go to the VTEC solenoid but there is only one wire that that goes to the vtec solenoid What do i do????

i have a 94 ls vtec and i did what u want to do
u have to connect the vtec output from the vafc to the silonoid and cap the input
that should do it.

 

i also got a ls/vtec and was running non vtec ecu for a while
and well if u read the instruction or go to the site online
it tells u to run it to the vtec direct
not the ecu wire

and well u will have not much power since u are going to redline at 6700 rpms

right???

i only see one wire/ gray plug coming out of the vtec solenoid where is the green plug for the vtec output/ ground?????

 

where'd you hear about the vafc making you redline at 6700? I doubt it, but if you show me where you found it, then nvm lol

the pink wire u go ahead and wire it to the vtec solenoid
and the purple one to A8... just cut the wire off A8 and wire the purple one to the ecu

 

the purple wire to the a8????? i do not understand i thought i had to look for the green plug for vteec output and ground

 

where is the green plug for vtec output/ground located????
i know where the gray one is but not the green one

 

he means the vtec pressure switch right???

and the vtec wire goes to the vtec controller to act whenever u like

and just go on the apexi.com site bro to learn about it

u do have the instructions right???

like i said had it running on a non vtec ecu and worked fine expect for the fact that the ecu redline was 7200 for me set up

but I could still engauge vtec

 

the instructions do no explain how to install on a non vtec ecu!!!!
