Default Flexpipe leak...

Just installed my stainless steel 2pc 4-2-1 header yesterday. when i started it up everything sounded fine. then when i started revin it started to sound like ****. at first i thought it was coming from between the header and downpipe but i couldnt hear it from the engine bay so i looked under the car and told my friend to rev it and it sounded like it was leaking through the flexpipe..and i noticed it smells like crap! when i drive around town without giving too much gas you cant really hear it but when i punch it you can hear the hissing sound from under the car. i was wondering if its possible to just replace the flexpipie ?

oh yea this is on a 93 accord lx 4dr

are you sure its not coming from the flange? sometimes if the header is cheap, the flange is a little warped . is the exhaust gasket still in good shape? what kind of header?

you just need to go to a muffler shop and have them do it.

they should have sized up to 2.5inch, if not, order it online, kteller8 sell those flex pipe.

they cost about30-35, 5 dollar for cut and weld i guess.

I don't know about the sound, but maybe the smell is from the greese they used to bend the pipes. When I first put my catback on, it had a funny smell and thats what the manufacture told me about the greese and in like 3 days or so, the smell went away.

header wrap woundn't do anything for leaks..

if you want to know where exactly is the leak, park your car in puddle of water, have a buddy hit the gas alittle, you'll see where the gas is shooting out of.
