Need Help Finding Cheap Performance
Good luck on that. I don't know anything that's cheap, I guess a intake, exhust, headers, intake, throttle body. I don't really know, nothing is cheap lol. But I would just suggest getting your few little bolt on's, or go get a B16A and slap her in there if your on a budget.

if your on that tight of a budget, dont bother with mods. save up for the b16. but if you insist, intake , header, cat back exhaust. then a good clutch an light flywheel will get you moving. DPFI-MPFI is also good
gut out your car, sound deatining, bumper beams could be trimmed, remove heater and ac if you dont like in a cold climate. remove the washer fluid resivoir and pumps etc.

save up your money for a few more months. then take your car autocrossing while it's completely stock. after your first race, take the money you've saved and buy some better brake pads and tires. race it all season like that. next year buy some new pads and tires, also springs and shocks, braided brake lines, bigger rear sway bar, maybe some poly bushings. if you just want to drag race your friends at stop lights, buy a daytona.
Well, there are a couple of things to do if you have a real tight budget...
SHould give you about 15 hp
1. Tune up– good quality plugs, wires, cap, rotor and index your plugs.
2. Clean injectors
4. K&N air filter
5.Advance timing – experiment to see how high you can advance it and not have pinging.
6.Synthetic fluids. Not a lot of HP gains, but definitely a good idea for you performance cars longevity. Change the motor oil, tranny and rear end to synthetics.
7.Underdrive pulleys. Slows down your accessories, your alternator and A/C, that rob power. Warning: This may slow down your alternator enough to where it discharges at idle.
8. Move your battery to the back of the car. Distribute weight a bit better.
9. change your muffler and cat...

that is a lot of hp from just tuning up and adancing timing. I doubt the guy will see 15hp at the wheels.
This is going to seem out there, but check your tranny and see if it's a SI tranny.
there are a lot of people that replace with DX or even worse HF trannies and those will make a huge impact on your speed, as they have different R&P & gears.

Cold air bah you don't need it. Don't spend any money and put it in a pot to spend after you get the b16. Much better.
