OEM F22 Stroker kit
Well since the F23 is stroked to 2.3L, is it possible to use parts from the F23 to stroke the F22 to 2.3. Reason why im askin is cuz of OBD1 vs OBD2. I have a 98 Accord with the F23 but wanted OBD1 and was considering a F22 then stroke it with my old engine parts or get newer stock F23 parts to stroke it up. Besides the kit working, I also heard that it is illegal to swap in an older engine into a newer car. So in other words is it illegal for me to swap in a 94-95 engine into my 98.
I know you guys are going to bring up the "WTF" question but I just though it would be easier to swap engine directly instead of converting all this other stuff to OBD1 from OBD2. Even if I was to Convert to OBD1 with my OBD2 I heard that its not a bolt on affair and and I would have to replace the OBD2 intake mani with a OBD1 cuz of 2 IAC wires vs the 3 IAC in the OBD2.
Anyone got experience and can help? I'm in need of a new engine and want either a F23A1 only or a F22 with OEM F23 stroker kit. Trying to stay OBD1.

adding .1L isnt worth the effort dude.......and why the hatred for the OBDII??? unless ur planning on turbo w/o cats.........just get an older h22
if u wanna stay OBD1 and u need a new engine

i recentlyput an f23 into a 5th gen accord.
we usesd the manifold and harness from the original f22b...all l we did was bolt the manifolds and all sensors to teh new lomgblock, bolted the distributor on from teh original engine and that was it.

Im gonna boost and get rid of the O2's, well at least one of them. I dont hate, its just that some things arent as compatible. Everything is more of OBD1 than it is OBD2 compatable for the moment.

Well for one bigger displacement is what makes it .1 liter more. And stroking is basically making the stroke on the crankshaft longer. So to stroke it you would have to get a completely different crank and longer rods. And to make up for the .1 liter you would have to bore out the cylinder and get bigger pistons to accompany the bigger cylinders. It would be much easier just to get an F23 engine and turbo it.
And as far as I know, the stroke between the F22 and F23 is the same, there just different bore sizes. So I'm wondering if the crank and rods would interchange between the two. Hmmm....
