how much whp do intakes make. i have an aem cai intake, do u think im making enough hp or should i stick with the stock intake with a drop in filter?

i'd rather run stock with drop in filter over aem.

 

intake is intake man... just keep the AEM, just dont suck up any water.

 

Do you have an AEM bypass valve, to prevent hydrolocking?

 

I use a cut AEM and wouldnt think about using my stock intake. My motor is far from stock so I dont see a point in using a stock intake. In fact I tried to use the stock intake and it sucked *** compared to my custom cut AEM intake. :shrugs:

U can probably find 1000 threads on intakes in search.

 

I think the AEM is around 2whp, icebox is around 3-4whp, and mugen is around 7whp.
Basically the AEM is just a noise maker.

But for the money I saved by buying an AEM over every other intake I'll take my anodized red kazoo any day.

Since the other thread got locked i will come on here to get a point across to you. First off settle down sunny with the fighting words, because you dont want to start **** like that. Now onto me and you running, if i recall sometime ago when you had your r wannabe aka your yellow LS. i recieved a phone call from a mutual friend of ours saying that you were talking **** and you would run me and rip me i quickly proceeded to tell you to bring that broke **** and id spot you some cars with my DSM. You of course had all kinds of excuses and backed out. Next time i see you i ask you whats up when we gonna run and you have the excuse that you had a passenger or your girl in the car one or the other i forgot. i then told you id put them in my car or id put someone in my car to even it out. you again backed out. Now about track racing i run all the time i think i have more slips in one season that you in your whole life. Last time i saw you at the track you were running 15.2 or so i think it was due to some spacer issues you were having with the spacer in between the steering wheel and the seat. But thats neither here or there. Like i said ill run you when ever, ill be at the street races on thursday wheather permitting and most likely at opening weekend at Etown. When ever your ready.But your gonna need more that just a intake to keep up. Hater back young'n.......

 

You still wouldnt get more than 12k from a smart person...... Its only worth what one will pay for it. BTW bring Mazdaspeed Mistress he can line up to.....

hahaah. thats pretty funny bro. ur hilarious coming on these threads and trying to play me out. u got nothing better to do then to just talk **** bro. first of all im not a track person and it was prob my first time racing in time trials. second of all of course i ran a 15.0 it was pretty much stock and i had 2.6 60 fts. trust me, i could drive my car and i just dont have an intake anymore. my car just has bolts on and a different cam now . 13's are possible for my car. when etown opens will run. as far as my excuses go of course im not running with people in my car. im not stupid like u. i just drive to drive not to start **** bro. so bring watever dsm u have or gsr u got, but u know wat ull never have a type r so keep spending ur money on a car that u got no love for. work hard like me and buy something u love. peace.
