Can any of you explain to me what exactly does it do and what are the consequences when it doesnt work like what it does????????

reads exhaust gases coming out and tells the comp how much fuel to put to engine. if it doesnt work you can get an engine that runs rich and get a poor performance from the car. mostly emissions.

 

ok so that could explain why when i get in to Vtec ( i know its a Sohc but u still feel a little difference it starts reving faster) it felt as a big drop in power as opposed to my old D16Z6 which felt stronger in Vtec.

ya, that could be one factor for your car performing not the way it should. It can also be your spark plugs, distributer etc etc.
