So i let my mother drive my car the other day, she was only going somewhere really quick so she took my car. On the way back into the driveway she was going entirely too fast and forgot that my car is lowered, when SMACK, the whole underlining of the front bumper scraped for a good foot or so on the concrete.

Its hard to describe exactly what i am talking about....but there is a plastic lining/guard under the bumper that looks to be a keeping rocks and road debris from flying up into the engine. Well that whole piece is like hanging down a good 4/5 inches from the bottom of my bumper and it scrapes on EVERYTHING now.

Does anyone know where i can find a new liner thingy to replace it? am i gonna need a whole new bumper? Can i be ghetto and just zip tie it on somewhere?
It seems to be a problem that alot of honda/acura's have, its just like a flap of plastic that hangs down, and its about 6 inches or so under the bumper.

Can ANYONE help me out, let me know how i can fix this damn thing...its really really annoying to hear it scrape on the ground

zip ties not the best way but it will work when your in a fix

yea i wouldnt worry about replacing it,..i would see if you can get some zipties on there somwhere to hold it up,..zipties are your friend

 

just put some screws in it, not that hard, jeez

Use Light weight fastener universal latching mechanism's /Zip ties.

 

you could do the right thing and get the clips that are suppose to be there or i guess the zip ties will work been there before

 

i use the super sporty duct tape to hold mine up

 

where can i get the clips that hold on the piece? i never even knew they were there

typically when I need parts that are for my Honda, I check out the Honda dealer. Usually they have the best selection of parts for my car.

Not going to lie though I do find it amusing that the OP of this ancient thread had his mom drive his slammed Civic, lol.

 

I remember my mom needing to use my lowered S2000 one day in 05'. I just told her to angle on the driveways and speedbumps and set her loose! lol
