Default Bumper problem...

Hey, so this isn't a big deal in my opinion, or at least it won't be once I get over it, but I loaned my car to the girlfriend about a week ago and just noticed today while at Jimmy Johns that the passanger side bumper wasn't fixed in place.

I asked her about it and she swore up and down that she had no idea....
*Until I threatened to make her walk from now on*

Then she told me that she may have curbed the bumper while backing out of a parking space.

Now I don't know if it's possible to partially rip off a part of the bumper and break one of the links that holds in the screw (near the wheel well) by curbing it... but regardless:

The small part on the bumer that the screw goes through to connect the bumper to the rest of the body is broken.... any ideas on fixing it.... and I don't plan on getting a whole new bumper just for that, it'd be pointless?

Thanks.

Didn't have my camera. But it's just a break in the part that the screw goes through. And without it being bonded together that portion will come loose and the bumper will become unfixed again.

I know, Jimmy John's is excellent, but it still doesn't help me fix my minor issue

Well, I had to get my front bumber redone..and I think the front bumber cover was like 350..and to get it painted was like 2 hours labor..so that's kind of expensive..don't u work at a dealership??

^LMAO...I told my old finance manager that she NEEDED a boob job..but didn't get in trouble or anything..she was cool like that...but what I meant..was don't you have connections like with your dealerships paint and dent guy? Every dealership has one..and that's a HELL of a way to save a TON of money...I had both bumpers repainted on my wifes Acura 3.2 CL...and he did em for 75 bucks a bumper..just an example..but that's usually the going rate for those guys to do side jobs..just a thing to help u out..if that is possible..but that's all I can think of...

Yeah I mean, I still know everyone at the dealership, I guess I can try that route.

What the hell is jimmy johns?

Anyways, sounds like you could possibly take the bumper off (if I am understanding you correctly, fabricate your ripped off part back with bondo (but make it solid instead of holed for a screw to go in) and then drill a hole through it with a drill bit.... Not the easiest fix, but perhaps cheaper than a new bumper.

Yeah, that sounds about right, I'll be doing that this weekend, thanks. It's alot better than a temp fix.
