Default stock 1g dsm bov psi?

at what psi does the 1g dsm bov release the pressure and if im only running a internally wastegated turbo at 8psi would it be pointless to run a 1g dsm bov?

a BOV doesnt release pressure at any PSI... it releases pressure when you take your foot off the gas so the incomming air doesnt smack into the closed throttle plate

Yes run one

A 1g DSM BOV starts leaking at around 17 psi, give or take. Crush it and it can hold 25 psi and more. The BOV starts bleeding pressure when the differential pressure between the signal line and the charge pipe is around 5 psi, give or take a few psi.

not to jack your thread, but when you say "crush it" what does that exactly mean?

its when you literally crush the top part of the bov, like with a hammer.

and how does this allow it to hold more pressure?

Would it be worth the time to crush the bov even if I was running only 8psi? From old rumors that I never actually cleared up, I heard it was harmful

no reason to crush unless you're going over 15 psi, really..

it takes a matter of 15 seconds to crush one in a vice though. Crush it so the vacuum nipple touches the lower ring slightly and you 're all good to go.
