well my car started idling really weird, i own a 94 dx an what happens is when i turn the car on the it idles high then low high then low then stops, then when im drivin wut happens is it does it again like when i take my foot off the gas, and then my cars temp gauge goes higher and higher then drops down to normal, and it does it frequently.. any ideas?

i have a 1998 ex with 2 piece headers that have an exhaust leak. when my cars warmed up and im at a stop it idles really close to 0 and sometimes sounds like it's going to die.
