yesterday when i started my car...pressed the clutch down, started up car and it wouldnt go into any gear. i turn my car off and then its fine and goes into any gear easily. restarted car couple times and then it finally went into gear but the clutch felt softer..and the engagement point felt different. well this morning before school i go to warm up my car...and i press the clutch down and it feels like mush..basically no resistance until the VERY bottom, so about 80% free play. time for a new clutch? or is it something else? this is the original clutch on my 93 vtec with 167k miles btw. thanks

 

you master or slave cyclinder may have gone bad, check your fluid level, ususally the pedal being squishy is something wrong with the hydralics (sp?)

 

Yeah doesnt sound like normal bad clutch indications.
