Default Stupid Shift just-wont-come-off!!! Grrr

MY shift **** wont come off on my 88si. IT would twist and I cant see any bobbypin holding it underneath, is there another way I dont know of. I am trying to get my stereo console out but cant until that is off. I feel so stupid right now, hahaha

if its anything like mine, it should just thread off, just keep turning it counterclockwise and it should eventually come off..

Are you saying you're unable to turn it to the left to loosen it? If that is the case, maybe you can get a large crescent wrench and a rag to cover the shift **** so that it won't scar it. Is it the stock shift ****? I remember the first time I took mine off - it was on there REALLY good, and I had to give it a couple of tries, but it finally came off. Good luck! If all else fails, bust out the hacksaw and get ready to buy a new one.

Yea, I'm not sure about that whole crescent wrench deal. I've had trouble with shiftknobs before, but after a good couple tries, they've always come off. Just get really pissed off and take your anger out on it, I guess.

chanel lock and a thick cloth with defientely get it off unless the previous owner glued it. Hack saw gets busted then,

Home made low shifter lol
