i was pulling into my garage tonight and i thought i could make it (was really close) but as i get out i see white paint smudged all over this little spot on the front right of the bumper (if you're looking at the engine).... i got some cleaner and got all the white off (paint from white wooden panels along my garage)... but now theres a non-reflective black surface on the spot, maybe the clear coat got scratched off, but i think its just a smudge somehow.. but i couldn't get it off... has anyone done this too and wanted to hang yourself for being so stupid? i do!!!

is there any way i could fix it?

 

I did that to my bumper before too, I just put some touch up paint. I'm just gonna get the whole bumper repainted some day.

 

Go to Autozone and get some Maguire's detailing clay for $10. It'll take off tar, overspray or other crap. Good stuff. Gets out all the grit and crap in your paint. Nice and smooth...
But it sounds like you took it down to the urethene bumper skirt. I did that the 2nd day I had my teg. Scraped up against a Sunfire in the lot. D'OH! Ugly ugly ugly!
