I currently have 183k miles on my GSR 4door and just recently a few days ago whenever I would start my car the idle would jump from 2.8k to 1k then keep doing it! It won't stop! Can anybody help me out? I've read a lot of posts about the throttle body being bad. Or a vaccum leak? Can somebody help me out? Thanks

 

Most Likely from my what i have seen that the problem comes from the fast idle valve from the throttle body.... Might want to check that out first... The easy and cheap way to fix the problem is to take off the TB and underneth it is the fast idle valve (were colant goes too) If im right theres soem screws that you can take off then when you take it off then theres like a thing that you can srew in screw it in all the way but by doing so you just wont have the fast idle anymore like when you start your car and how it revs to like 2grand or something like that.... It just wont do that anymore but this is the cheap way of doing it... But if you must have the fast idle then just replace it with a new part.... Well thats my thought....

 

check the vacum line to your fpr. clean your iacv and basically either change your oem vacum lines or clean them.
if thats not your problem and your idle is still erractic then i would spend a couple hours theroughly cleaning your tb.
